San Diego Vehicle Storage FAQ
Can you keep a car in a storage unit?
What size storage unit fits a car?
10×15: A few smaller cars (compacts and motorcycles)
10×20: Sedans, SUVs, buses, pickup trucks, and other vehicles
10×25: Pickup trucks and cargo vans
How long can you store your car?
How do I prepare my car for storage?
Fill the gas tank to the top. When a gas tank is empty or low, condensation and moisture build up within the tank, causing internal corrosion. Add a fuel stabilizer or corrosion inhibitor, then push the car around for a few minutes to apply the additive to the engine parts.
Replace the oil in your engine. To prevent rusting and corrosion, apply lubricant to all exposed metal surfaces in the engine compartment.
